Thinking
of bringing your pet dog or cat into Singapore? Well, there
are elaborate procedures you need to follow for that to
happen.

First,
remember that the following dogs are not allowed into
Singapore:
|
|
Pit Bull (which includes the American Pit Bull Terrier also
known as the American Pit Bull and Pit Bull Terrier,
American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier,
the American Bulldog, and crosses between them and with
other breeds) Neapolitan Mastiff, Tosa, Akita, Dogo
Argentino, Fila Braziliero and their crosses.

Next, know that procedures for importing the animal into
Singapore differ according to the country from which you are
taking the animal out of: (click the links accordingly)

Australia,
New Zealand, United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland), Ireland
(Eire).
*Note that there is no quarantine if all the veterinary regulations are complied
with and the animals are clinically healthy on arrival.

quarantine for not less than 30 days.

- Any
country except
Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom (Great Britain and Northern Ireland),

"All licensed dogs must be
microchipped with an ISO compliant microchip. |

"Dogs that were licensed before 1 Sep
07 will be exempted from the requirement. However, owners of such
dogs are strongly encouraged to have their dogs microchipped for
